Our first of many AR Members of the month is Daniel Webb! Daniel is an incredibly positive force in our community. He loves to encourage those around him, and make others laugh even during the toughest of workouts. There are beacons of light and positivity in a community, and Daniel shines bright as one of them. So, let’s get to know a little more about Daniel with some questions!
How long have you been working out for?
I’ve been pretty consistently working out ever since I was 17 years old, and I’m 52 now. I haven’t been in a gym in about 3 years, but knew I wanted to join as soon as I heard you guys opened up.
What is your primary goal for coming to AR?
I want to get my mobility and strength back with coaches that know what they’re doing.
What keeps you motivated to come back?
It’s the family environment and community that holds me accountable for coming back.
What is your favorite thing about AR?
It’s the community as well. There are people I’ve known for 6 years now here. Other things I love are the convenience of the class times and the workout programming. I know that the coaches will modify the workouts to whatever I need for a good workout.
What’s your favorite movement?
My favorite movement is definitely bench press. Runner ups would be rowing and skiing
What’s your favorite hobby?
I love to ride motorcycles. I’ve been riding them for the past 35 years and I’ve been riding on tracks for the past 5 years.
What’s one piece of advice for someone starting out in their fitness journey?
Don’t rush it. Stay light and get the movements down. It’s much harder to break bad habits, or even worse to come back from an injury.
What’s one thing you want others to know about you?
I’m a Christian with Christian values. Even though I make mistakes, Jesus still died on the cross because he loves me and you.
